Read the rocks! We are not kidding!We went to lake pleasant on Saturday with the Benson's. The kids were so excited to go in a boat. They got new life jackets, water shoes, and beach towels. When we got there we loaded all our equipment on to the boat, we had a lot we planned on being there past sundown so the men could fish. We started to head across the lake, bug didn't know what to think of the boat, he liked all the water. Max and his two friends were laughing and reaching there hand out to touch the water splashing up. Well we found this perfect island to set up camp...the island is now know to us as Gilligan's Island.
We were almost there and Brandon got pulled over by the boat sheriff to check his tags...that was funny to watch a cop get pulled over. We get to the island and as we unload all our stuff the leak was detected- the way it sat while we unloaded broke the seal so the boat was filling up with water. 
The kids had no idea we were stuck. They played hard and had lots of fun. They played on the intertube, jumped waves, swimming, watching other boats that can move (ha ha) eating snacks all day, playing in the rocks, and more... 
So While we played this is what the men did...
We were on the island for four hours until the rescue boat came. The final picture is of Elbert and Spence by the dock next to the rescue boat. They invited us out again next weekend, but we will only go if they have duct tape on board, that would fix anything..right?

For some reason I thougt it was a bigger boat!! Couldnt you just use oars and row your way back.... :)
not when it's filling up with water you can't! Plus it is still a heavy boat I would rather sun tan on the island and wait for a ride :)
