"Now I feel like a five year old!"

Before Maxwell's party he looked sad and I asked him what was wrong...his answer was adorable....he said look at me I don't look like a five year old or feel like a five year old... I told him he was a big boy and tried to make him feel better. WELL, At the end of his party I told him that I had a fun time. Then he said with a HUGE grin- NOW I feel like a five year old!
This is Max making his cake. He really wanted to make his own cake, SO it was designed, made and frosted with just a little bit of help. I was nervous to make it our selves but even though it wasn't a fancy cake we had a LOT of fun making it :) I think he did GREAT!

There is the Transformer cake master piece! Elbert and made made the little models for the cake toppers.

We went to Altadena park to party. The kids ran and played in the splash pad and play ground. Then we sang to Max, had cake, and hit the pinata!
Spencer kept saying hit the transformer! I brought a small bat so all the kids got a turn to hit it. Max said on the way home "I have the coolest friends!" He does!! Max has the greatest friends! It was a fun time. Max really enjoyed the time with his friends and now feels like a five year old :)

Our fun visitor at play group!!

It's a FROG!

A few weeks ago at play group the kids found a frog!! It was adorable-they followed the frog all around the park and through the splash pad. Max kept trying to get his friend Nic to touch it...he did his best at encouraging him to do it... when he wouldn't touch the frog, Max then stood behind Spencer and kept telling him to touch it...Spencer not knowing better was doing his best to catch the frog for his big brother but never quite got it fast enough.

This is what I get -trusting a 2 year old to follow directions :)

I was hurry so I could get out of the house in time for my favorite aerobic class-so as I was running around getting ready, I hollered at the boys to get their shoes on ... as we headed out the door and I look at Spence and he put on Elbert's shoes and was really going to wear them to the gym! He usually gets his shoes and has Max help him get them on. I had to stop and run inside to get his shoes, and take a photo because that was so funny to me. He tried! I still made it to class on time too :)

kids and the animals....back to the zoo!

Spencer NEVER wants to leave the orangutans!!

Group photo-such cute kids!

We went today to the zoo with our friends Jordon and her girls and our new friends Alissa and her two kids that just moved here from New York. We only saw a few animals because it was still too hot out to walk all over- we were on a mission to get to the new splash pad as well.

This is the new splash pad at the zoo- WAY FUN!

This is the out side of the cave and all around it on the outside they have the splash pad fountains spraying. The picture below shows inside the tunnel they had misters and several areas to go that had slides, tunnels, a puddle of fountains... It was a lot of fun! I even went down the slides and played :)
I have no idea who those kids are-they wouldn't move and I wanted a picture from inside...

This bridge is cool they had misters and fog to walk through to get inside the cave. Above is lauren on the bridge and Max below just crossed the bridge and they had nice plants...all cool stuff :)
This is the water fall on the other side of the cave...another entrance to get in. Spence loved running through the waterfall. Wesley is in the picture and that is Spencer's new friend!Inside the cave...the boys loved to explore. They were so busy it was hard to keep up with them!

a few Cute pictures...

Max is such a good big brother. He loves to help Spencer learn his preschool stuff. He had Spencer sit with him and he helped him do the Muppet Babies learning game :)
When Max would click the write answer it would say good job, then Spencer would tell max "awesome Max!"This home made recliner cracked me up :) there's no better way to watch cartoons than that!!

boys campout!

The boys wanted to camp out in the front room. So they laid every blanket we own on the floor and every pillow. They ate gummy worms licorice and watched movies until they fell asleep. Spencer was so full of sugar he couldn't fall asleep. So for the over night adventure, it was just Elbert and Max in the front room.

Back to the zoo...finally!

It finally cooled off enough to go visit the zoo!! (well it was still hot but not scortching) The boys learned about farm animals for school time this week so we went to the petting zoo to check out all the animals. The boys had a great time with their friends.
